Welcome to the New Look Emjay Dance Academy ......

Over lock down Liza, Sam and Emily have been working very hard to rebrand Emjay.

New Name - Emjay Dance Academy, we kept the Emjay name as we are a well established dance and performing arts school. The M in Emjay belongs to Maureen Cox the original founder of Emjay along with her sister Diana Paull and sister in law Nicky Driscoll. As we all know Maureen sadly passed away in 2008, but we all know her memory lives on through this wonderful dance academy.

New Venues - we are excited to expand Emjay Dance Academy to new exciting venues. So we can reach out to new communities and young people to come and try our fabulous classes. we will start using Tauntons College after half term and further venues will be announced later in the year.

New Timetable - We are very proud of our timetable, it’s important to offer a variety of dance and performance styles with different industry experts so children grow in confidence and have a broad range to their expertise. We welcome new street teacher Ben. We are excited to be able to offer such a diverse range of classes for Emjay young people to try.

New Uniform - We have made this a simpler process for all parents. We have created an online shop with IDS and Squad Dance wear. Simply subscribe to our website and download the wix app and you will have access to the members area where you can access the uniform link. It’s important for all our performers to look professional in class, this will boost confidence as everyone in class will be dressed the same. Please see the uniform page on the website for further details.

Emjay Elite - The young people of Emjay Dance Academy that partake in competition and public engagements will be part of the Emjay Elite Team. There is a specific uniform that these young people will get to wear in public and Elite training sessions. Elite practice sessions will be ‘festival’ sessions with a difference, competition dances will be worked on alongside specific training in performance, learning harder techniques which can be applied to competition pieces.

We are all so excited for you all to experience these changes - we had all current students at the forefront of our minds, building an exciting package for you to return to after lock down to help motivate and encourage you all. We are also looking to grow the business, we would love to welcome new pupils to our Emjay family.
